The locking system tightens the steer when your scooter is unfolded, or when you fold down the steer to carry or store your scooter. Make sure there is always resistance when closing your clamp.

How do I remove the 1041 quick acting locking clamp from the Micro Sprite?

1. Open the clamp and tighten the ribbed knob as tight as possible
2. Remove the locking ring on the left side (note, it can jump away, so preferably on a clean, smooth floor)
3. Unscrew the ribbed knob completely
4. Pull out the clamp on the other side

How do I install the 1041 closing clamp of the Micro Sprite?

1. Place the pin and spring in the hole on the right side and press them in with the block
2. Screw the ribbed knob onto the screw shaft that now extends from the left side as tight as possible
3. Replace the retaining ring
4. Adjust the tension of the closing clamp by loosening the ribbed knob slightly
